AMARAVATI: Prominent businessman Chigurupati Jayaram, managing director of Telugu news channel Express TV, was found dead in a car under mysterious circumstances in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.
The incident happened on highway number 65 near Aitavaram village at Nandigama mandal in Krishna. Jayaram was also the director of Coastal Bank and MD of Zenotech Laboratories. He was a non-resident Indian (NRI) and his family lives in Florida district of the United States.

Police said his car crossed Panthangi toll plaza at 8.30pm on Thursday. "We suspect that someone killed him and abandoned the car here to make it look like an accident. His car was being driven by his chauffeur,” police said. “It is not a natural death, that is for sure. We will complete investigation soon,” the police added. A case has been registered and probe is on.
